As a Lumia users I have been thinking of getting my hands dirty on it and yesterday I installed the developer preview of WP10 (WindowsPhone10) on my Nokia Lumia 720.Note: We are not responsible for any kind of harm you cause to your device, this post is just for educational purposes.
Note: Some of the pictures have been taken up from different users, and they are properties of their respective owners.
So these are the things you'll need to proceed-.
1.A Windows Phone running WP8 or later
2.A Good Internet Connection or else patience :P
Lets Get Started:
Firstly go to https://insider.windows.com/ and click get started then sign in with your account that is linked with the phone.
Now accept all the terms and conditions and click submit.
Now Select Phone!
Now switch to your phone and go to windows store and search for Windows Insider.
Now open Insider App and tap get preview builds .
Now you will see Two options
1. Insider Slow
2.Insider Fast
If you want fast updates to the preview then select Insider Fast but if you want slow and gradual updates select Insider Slow. We have selected the fast option but the choice is yours.
Tap on the desired option and click next. You will now have to read the terms of service and accept them, although we are sure most of us would not read it.
Now just go to the Settings>Phone Update>Check For Update
The Update will start downloading (P.S. it took us 45 minutes to download the update over a 4Mbps WiFi connection)
After the update is downloaded the phone will restart and the update will be installed
It will take some time and battery, remember to keep your phone plugged until this process is complete.
