A resurgence in colorful creativity is taking over the tech world. Xiaomi has a new phone to be released in China, the Redmi 2, that comes in an assortment of pastel-tinted plastic parts. It is the follow-up to last year’s Redmi 1S.
Other than the Redmi 2 there are rumors that Xiaomi is currently working on a dual-curved screen phone which is dubbed as Xiaomi Arch. The curves will reportedly feature short cut menu's much like the Note Edge as well as instant notifications regarding calls, messages etc.
Although Xiaomi has already said that they have a flagship surprise for us this week and we do not think that this is that surprise. The device features a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz combined with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage. The device supports expandable memory upto 32 GB. One of the feature which makes the device standing in the market is that this device supports 4G LTE networks. The device is listed to have MIUI 6 on top. It is available in 5 different colors. Xiaomi will be starting the sale on January 9 in China at 699RMB which is about Rs. 7200 (113$) making the device one of the best value-for-money budget smartphones.
